CourtReady

How it works

A guided process, with people where it counts

CourtReady is designed to make each stage clear: what you do, what we do, and what happens next.

  1. 1

    Tell us what you need

    What you do

Choose your matter and answer guided questions in plain language—in English or Spanish.

    What we do

Organize your answers, identify missing information, and flag deadlines that may affect timing.

  2. 2

    Share your information

    What you do

Upload court papers, orders, and documents you already have.

    What we do

Sort documents by type and match them to the information we’ll need for your package.

  3. 3

    Attorney screening and agreement

    What you do

Review and sign a written engagement agreement if your matter is accepted.

    What we do

An attorney reviews fit, runs a conflict check, and confirms scope and fee before work begins.

  4. 4

    Preparation and professional review

    What you do

Answer follow-up questions and review drafts in your client portal.

    What we do

Prepare drafts using AI-assisted tools; legal staff check quality; an attorney reviews and signs off.

  5. 5

Get ready for your next step

    What you do

Receive your deliverables and the instructions you need for what comes next.

    What we do

Explain the next steps, deadlines, and options—within the scope of your package.

What “attorney review” means here

Attorney review means a licensed California attorney evaluates the work product included in your package for accuracy, completeness, and fit with your goals, and makes the legal judgments involved. It does not mean the attorney will appear in court for you unless your written agreement includes that.

Limited-scope help, explained

California allows attorneys to provide limited-scope (sometimes called “unbundled”) legal services—help with specific tasks rather than the entire case. You remain responsible for the parts of your case outside the agreed scope, and we’ll make that boundary clear in writing.

Your information

In production, CourtReady would use secure, access-controlled systems for confidential information. In this prototype, nothing you enter is transmitted or stored on a server—please use fictional information only.
